Project Description: Telemetry receivers will be located throughout the Potomac River test range from Saint George Island, MD to Nanjemoy Creek, MD to capture movement of any sturgeon tagged or available through the ACT Network. Exact locations will be dependent on permissions from the USCG. We will implant up to 12 long-lived acoustic transmitters divided between Atlantic and Shortnose Sturgeon.

Determine sturgeon occurrence in the lower Potomac
