Project Title: Migratory behavior, range, and survival of American shad in the Delaware River Watershed

Project Description: Study focuses on the Delaware River, but the acoustic portion will also tell us about the role of Delaware Bay in shad migrations, particularly whether and to what extent the Bay serves as a staging area for shad that are continuing to migrate up the coast

Objectives:

Determind feasibility of collection methods and behavior in support of future radio telemetry study
Determine proportion of shad tagged in Delaware Bay that ascend the Hudson River
Determine proportion of shad tagged in Delaware Bay that ascend the Delaware River
