Project Description: 8 hydrophone cages containing one Vemco and one Lotek hydrophone are deployed in the spring and fall. They are deployed in rectangle that transects a shoreface sand ridge perpindicularly with the center of the rectangle over the crest of the sand ridge. The sand rdige that is the focus of the study is planned to be dredged as a Borrow Site for beach sand replenishment. We are looking at fish use and distribution around the sand ridge before and after dredging occurs. The sand ridge is located 3 miles offshore from Absecon Inlet, NJ.
