Project Description: This project aims to monitor cod and cod spawning activities on Cox Ledge. Cox Ledge overlaps with the newly constructed South Fork Wind Farm area. Four years of pre-construction baseline data were collected to characterize spawning dynamics of cod in the region. This second phase will mirror the pre-construction design during post-construction and operation of the wind farm and will allow for characterization of any impacts to cod habitat use and spawning.

Objectives:

To study impacts of offshore wind farm development on the spawning dynamics of Atlantic cod
