Project Description: This project uses gliders to monitor and understand North Atlantic Right Whale (NARW) presence in the New York Bight, in and around the Leading Light Wind lease area. NARW are undersampled in this region but known to frequent the offshore region particularly during the winter and early spring. Various marine mammals including NARW are detected using DMON instruments, and gliders also carry either VMT or Rx-LIVE receivers.
