Project Title: Habitat occupancy and apparent survival of American Eel and White Perch in tributaries of Delaware Bay

Project Description: This project looks to assess the habitat and connectivity of American Eel and White Perch among modified and unmodified tributaries of Delaware Bay, before, during, and after the installation of living shoreline habitats. This will be done via acoustic telemetry, tracking the movement and residency through time and assessing any changes in behavior following the installation of these living shorelines. Living shorelines are an important part of coastal habitat restoration, working to reduce coastal erosion and increase available habitat for species found in these systems. The results of this study will inform on the ecological impacts of these installations to key species.
