Project Description: This project seeks to expand the coverage of acoustic telemetry receivers to the entire coast of Maine. Through a data-sharing agreement with the Atlantic Cooperative Telemetry Network (ACT; https://www.theactnetwork.com/), the receivers deployed in this effort will significantly improve the ability of regional scientists and graduate students to monitor key marine species that are either already tagged or will be tagged in the coming years by our partners as well as the scientific community at large. By doing so, we are better prepared to address critical knowledge gaps regarding species movements, habitat use, and how tagged fish respond to climate-driven changes in the marine environment.
